This past weekend, we hit a big milestone — our very first pop-up event in Germany! We joined the Westfalencup in Dortmund, and it was such an inspiring, energetic experience that we had to share a recap.
A Pop-Up with Purpose
We joined the event for two out of the four competition days — Friday and Saturday. Since travel, hotel, and food costs add up quickly, we decided to make it a focused, efficient weekend. For us, pop-ups are all about connection, visibility, and community rather than direct sales, and this one definitely delivered.
We left the Netherlands bright and early at 6:00 a.m. and reached Dortmund by 9:00.
After unloading and setting up, our stand was ready by 11:00 — and the competition buzz was already in full swing!

Event Highlights
Creative collaborations: A local brand was offering on-the-spot sublimation printing for shirts and hoodies, even featuring start lists — how cool is that?
Incredible talent: The level of skating blew us away. Even in the Basic and Advanced Novice categories, we saw double Axels, triples, and outstanding presentation.
Unique German categories: We loved discovering “Jugend Damen,” a thoughtful addition for skaters transitioning between Novice and Junior levels. It gives athletes the time to adapt and grow without pressure.
Adorable ice dancers: There were tiny ice dance couples — some only 8 to 10 years old — showing so much passion and grace on the ice.

🏆 Outfits Spotted — Our Top 3 Podium Picks!
One of the most fun parts of every pop-up is seeing the amazing skating outfits! We’ve decided to start a new tradition: ranking our favorite looks after each pop-up. Here’s our Top 3 from Dortmund:
🥇 1st Place – Valeria Huber
Valeria stunned us with a Billie Eilish-inspired green suit — bold, edgy, and unforgettable. The way it complemented her style and confidence on the ice made it an instant winner.
🥈 2nd Place – Katarina Fedorova Coelho
Katarina lit up the rink with a neon pink-and-orange costume that perfectly matched her energy and performance. Vibrant, playful, and completely eye-catching!
🥉 3rd Place – Fabienne Florentine Frohlich
Fabienne impressed with a sleek, modern outfit adorned with subtle crystal accents. Elegant, polished, and powerful — a perfect mix of style and performance.
We loved seeing everyone’s creativity shine through their outfits. Fashion on the ice is just as exciting as the skating itself!

Final Thoughts
Our first German pop-up was a huge success — not because of sales, but because of the people we met, the creativity we saw, and the community spirit we felt. Thank you to all the skaters and visitors who made this weekend so special. We can’t wait to spot (and rank!) more standout styles at our next event! 💫
