Last pop up of the year - Spring on Ice

Last weekend — Saturday and Sunday, April 18th and 19th — we were back at one of our favorite events of the year: Spring on Ice. And honestly… we loved every second of it.

This competition always has something special. The weather is better, the rink is open, and the whole atmosphere just feels lighter and more energetic. The organization is fantastic every year — from the smooth planning to the thoughtful details like lunch, coffee, tea, and even cookies (which definitely kept us going!). And yes, there was a photobooth for the skaters… of course we couldn’t resist making use of that too.

A Weekend Full of Surprises (and Solutions)

This pop-up came with a bit of chaos — the kind you only laugh about afterward. On Saturday, Victor (Kim’s partner) stepped in to help after we realized half of the clothing rails were missing. Not ideal… but we made it work. In true problem-solving mode, he came all the way to the pop up to bring the missing pieces.

During the weekend, we decided to purchase a completely new rail from Soopl to make sure we’re fully prepared for all upcoming pop-ups.

On Sunday, Britt joined — and since this was not her first pop-up, she knew exactly what to do and brought such great energy to the booth.

Why We Love Spring on Ice

There’s a reason this event keeps ending up on our calendar. The combination of great organization, a lively atmosphere, and an open rink makes it such a joy to be part of. Between helping customers, we caught glimpses of skaters warming up and training — which is always inspiring.

We even spotted some familiar Goal Digger pieces on the ice:

  • Skaters warming up in our zipped pants(Louise Velcicka 👀)

  • During a training session before the competition, Didi Ferwerda and Jazz de Vries were wearing our open back top in black and our (now fully sold out!) black mesh top

  • Also, Michelle Meeuwesen and Taisia Usenko stopped by in their matching outfits — twinning is winning <3

Seeing our pieces in action like that never gets old.

Community Moments at the Booth

One of our favorite things this weekend was capturing our community. We took photos of supporters in front of the booth — everyone wearing or picking up Goal Digger pieces.

A special shoutout to Anne Fleur van der Veen, who stopped by and picked up the mesh top and purple bra — such a good combo. And of course, Mia Medarac came by as well — one of our true supporters from the very beginning, and someone who (we’re pretty sure!) owns almost every piece we’ve ever made. Seeing her again meant a lot.

Looking Ahead

As we wrap up this amazing weekend, one thing is clear: we’re more excited than ever for the new season ahead. The conversations, feedback, and support — they all fuel us to keep building, creating, and showing up for this community.

We can’t wait to be back. Now the question is… where should we go next?

Let us know — we’re ready. ❤️
