Figure skating has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
It all began when I was a young girl, learning the basics of skating as a Dutch tradition. After each lesson, I would watch in awe as the figure skaters took to the ice, particularly one girl who stood out in her vibrant pink skating dress. From that moment on, I fell head over heels in love with the sport.
What started as a childhood fascination quickly grew into years of competitive skating, representing the Netherlands at both national and international competitions. Through countless hours on the ice, I experienced first-hand how much confidence the right training wear can bring.
After spending seven years in the fashion industry, working in digital fashion design for international brands, I returned to figure skating in 2022. As an adult skater, I quickly realised that the training wear available no longer reflected my style. Open-back tops revealed sports bras that didn't match, and most designs felt as though they were made for children rather than adult athletes.
That's when Goal Digger Sports was born—to create elegant, fashion-forward training wear designed specifically for adult skaters, without compromising on performance.
The name Goal Digger is a reminder that every achievement begins with a goal. Whether you're landing your first jump, training for a new personal best, or simply becoming a stronger version of yourself, every journey starts with believing in what you're capable of.
